32Installation and ServicingSECTION 2 - INSTALLATION2.17 ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONSWiring should be 3 core PVC insulated cable, not less than0.75mm 2 (24 x 0.2mm), and to BS 6500 Table 16. For IEreference should be made to the current ETCI rules forelectrical installations.Connection must be made in a way that allows completeisolation of the electrical supply such as a double pole switchhaving a 3mm contact separation in both poles. The means ofisolation must be accessible to the user after installation.WARNING. This appliance MUST be earthed.A mains supply of 230Vac ~ 50 Hz is required.The fuse rating should be 3A. All external controls and wiringmust be suitable for mains voltage.Wiring external to the boiler MUST be in accordance with thecurrent I.E.E. (BS.7671) Wiring Regulations and any localregulations.2.18 INSTALLER WIRINGThe Logic boiler comes pre-fitted with 1.8m of mains cable. Thismust be connected to a permanent live supply and NOT switchedby thermostats/programmers. If the supply cord is damaged, itmust be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent or similarlyqualified persons in order to avoid hazard.Accessing the installer wiring1. Isolate the mains supply from the boiler.2. Remove the front panel. Refer to section 3.2.3. Swing down the control box into the service position,unclip and swing back the installer wiring cover and latchinto the retaining clips. Refer to Section 3.8.All of the connections can now be readily accessed, the plugscan be removed to aid wiring.Note the cable strain relief system and grommets. Once anywiring is completed, to secure the boiler, reverse the orderabove.Note 1 The link wire on the 230V installer room stat/timerconnection gives a demand in conjunction with the OpenThermlink wire (located on the right hand side of the control box).INSTALLER CONNECTIONS (LHS) INSTALLER CONNECTIONS (RHS)INSTALLATION
