34 Mexico Super 100 FF & 125 FF - InstallationSERVICING67 CONTROLS PANEL REPLACEMENT1. Remove the 2 screws and lift off thelower front panel. Refer to Frame 57.2. Pull off the thermostat knob.3. Disconnect the in-line electricalconnector between the control boxand PCB box.4. Unscrew the 2 screws and pull downthe control panel so that the 2 tabsclear the top panel.5. Remove the thermostat phial fromthe pocket. Refer to Frame 57.6. Remove the bottom screw andremove the cover from the controlbox.7. Remove the top screw and ease thecontrol box off the control panel.8. Disconnect the mains electricalsupply from the terminal strip andrelease from its clamp.9. Assemble new control box andpanel and fit to the casing in reverseorder.10. Insert control thermostat phial intopocket and secure with the split pin.11. Refit the in-line electrical connector between the controlbox and the PCB box.12. Remove control box cover and make electrical supplyconnections to the terminal strip. Refer to Frame 46.1. Remove the 2 screws and lift off the lower frontpanel. Refer to Frame 57.2. Slacken the screw at the thermostat pocket andwithdraw the phial from the pocket.3. Remove the thermostat retaining nut and withdrawthe thermostat from the control panel.4. Transfer the electrical leads from the oldthermostat to the replacement (polarity is notimportant).5. Fit the new thermostat ensuring that the alignmentpeg on the thermostat sits in the small holeadjacent to the main fixing hole and reassemble inreverse order.6. Replace the lower front panel and secure with the2 fixing screws.7. Check the operation of the boiler.68 OVERHEAT THERMOSTAT REPLACEMENT (if fitted)13.
