Part 3 - Configuration48Cameras do not feature built-in audio amplifier unitsand therefore require the user to purchase a speakersystem with a built-in amplifier separately.UpgradeSelect Firmware Upgrade to display the USB searchwindow.Select the corresponding upgrade package from thestorage device connected to the NVR's USB port.After selecting an upgrade package, select Apply toupgrade the camera.• If an upgrade attempt fails, an upgrade failuremessage will be displayed. Refer to Error CodeTypes on page 80 for more details.• The camera will reboot after the upgrade and thenreconnect automatically.• Current software version is not checked whenupgrading a network camera.Record SetupRefer to the Menu Use on page 37 for basicinformation on using the Setup menus.GeneralConfigure general recording settings.• Recycle: When the recording disks become full,the system overwrites existing data with new data,starting with the oldest first. If Recycle is disabled,recording will simply stop when the recording disksreach their maximum capacity.• Event Record Dwell: If linked recording isdesignated as an event-triggered action, recordingtakes place for the duration specified under thissetting. Select between 5 secs and 15 mins.• Auto Deletion: Configure this option to deleterecording data automatically after the specifiednumber of days has elapsed. Select between 1 dayand 999 days.To disable Auto Deletion, select Never. If enabled,recording data will be stored on the NVR forthe specified number of days and then deletedautomatically. Expired recording data are deletedautomatically at midnight and will be deleted even ifthe system reboots or the Auto Deletion setting hasbeen changed.
