Important Safety Precautions!General:1. Unpacking: Check the product carefully.If it has been damaged in transit, report thedamage immediately by calling your dealerand/or the shipping company that deliv-ered it.2. Connections: Whenever changing, con-necting or disconnecting signal or powercables etc., always turn off all equipment.This prevents transients from entering theequipment and prevents electrical energyfrom reaching you. Keep all connectionsout of the reach of children. Before movingthe unit, be certain to disconnect anyinterconnection cords with other compo-nents, and make certain that you discon-nect any powered units from the AC outlet.3. Read Instructions. All the safety andoperating instructions should be readbefore the product is operated.4. Retain Instructions. The safety and ope-rating instructions should be retained forfuture reference.5. Heed Warnings. All warnings on the pro-duct and in the operating instructionsshould be adhered to.6. Follow Instructions. All operating anduse instructions should be followed.7. Water and Moisture. The product shouldnot be used near water – for example, neara bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundrytub, in a wet basement, or near a swim-ming pool, and the like.8. Accessories. To ensure proper operationand to avoid the potential for safety haz-ards, place the unit on a firm and level sur-face. When placing the unit on a shelf, becertain that the shelf and any mountinghardware can support the product’sweight. Do not place this product on anunstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket, ortable. The product may fall, causing seri-ous injury to a child or adult, and seriousdamage to the product. Use only with acart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table recom-mended by the manufacturer, or sold withthe product. Any mounting of the productshould follow the manufacturer’s instruc-tions, and should use a mounting accesso-ry recommended by the manufacturer.9. Wall or Ceiling Mounting. The productshould be mounted on a wall or ceiling onlywhen and as recommended by the manu-facturer.10. Cleaning. Unplug this product from thewall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liq-uid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use adamp cloth for cleaning.11. Attachments. Do not use attachmentsnot recommended by the product manu-facturer, as they may cause hazards.12. Replacement Parts. When replacementparts are required, be sure the servicetechnician has used replacement partsspecified by the manufacturer or that havethe same characteristics as the originalpart. Unauthorized substitutions may resultin fire, electric shock or other hazards.13. Safety Check. Upon completion of anyservice or repairs to this product, ask theservice technician to perform safetychecks to determine that the product is inproper operating condition.14. Feet/Spikes. When positioning, or mov-ing this product ensure that is lifted ratherthan dragged across any floor/mountingsurface. This will avoid any damage to thefloor/mounting surface. Attention!Products and/or product feet constructedof rubber or plastics may, in seldom cases,react chemically and discolor treated ornon-treated wooden surfaces if positionedwithout protection.15. Warranty: The following conditions mayresult in a void product warranty:a. the manufacturers serial number isremoved or forged.b. if repairs and/or modifications and/orother treatments/tunings have been car-ried out by non-authorized personnel oraccessories/supplements are attached,which are not approved by manufactur-er/importer.16. Warranty: The following items are notcovered by the product warranty:a. Damage caused by inappropriate han-dling despite clear instructions providedin the owners manual.b. Damage to mechanical parts (such asrecord-/playback heads, moving rubberand plastic parts and fuses) as well asresults of normal wear and tear.c. Damage caused by external action orinfluence.d. Damage caused by miss-use by user.e. Damage caused by excessive electricalmains supply voltage or lightning strike.f. Damage caused by fire, water or smoke.g. Damage known to buyer prior to pur-chase.h. Damage caused by professional employ-ment of home entertainment products(e.g. for catering trade, restaurants, pub-lic address or infinite loop announce-ment use etc.)17. Specifications: All product specifica-tions/features are subject to change with-out notification.Passive Products:18. Amplifiers: Amplifiers used to drivethese units must deliver a sufficient outputpower. A lack of output power may lead toamplifier-clipping, which causes damagenot covered by guarantee.Active (Powered) Products:19. Ventilation. Slots and openings in thecabinet are provided for ventilation and toensure reliable operation of the productand to protect it from overheating, andthese openings must not be blocked orcovered. The openings should never beblocked by placing the product on a bed,sofa, rug, or other similar surface. Thisproduct should not be placed in a built-ininstallation such as a bookcase or rackunless proper ventilation is provided or themanufacturer’s instructions have beenadhered to Make certain that the properspace (more than 10cm) is provided bothabove and below the unit for ventilation. Ifthe amplifier will be installed in a cabinetor other enclosed area, make certain thatthere is sufficient air movement within thecabinet, with means provided for hot air toexit and for cool air to be brought in.Do not obstruct the ventilation slots on thetop of the unit or place objects directlyover them. Remember, power amplifiersgenerate heat, and the heatsink fins andventilation slots that form part of the cabi-net are specially designed to remove thisheat. Placing other electronic equipmentCAUTIONRISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCKDO NOT OPENCAUTION: To prevent electric shock,do not remove the grounding plugon the power cord, or use any plugor extension cord that does not havea grounding plug provided.Make certain that theAC outlet is properly grounded.Do not use an adapter plugwith this product.The lightning flash with arrowheadsymbol, within an equilateral triangle, isintended to alert the user to thepresence of uninsulated “dangerousvoltage” within the product’s enclosurethat may be of sufficient magnitude toconstitute a risk of electric shock topersons.The exclamation point within anequilateral triangle is intended to alertthe user to the presence of importantoperating and maintenance (servicing)instructions in the literatureaccompanying the appliance. |
