2READ FIRST! Important Safety Precautions!1. Unpacking: Check the productcarefully. If it has been damaged intransit, report the damage immedi-ately by calling your dealer and/or theshipping company that delivered it.2. Connections: Whenever changing,connecting or disconnecting signal orpower cables etc., always turn off allequipment. This prevents transientsfrom entering the equipment and pre-vents electrical energy from reachingyou. Keep all connections out of thereach of children. Before moving theunit, be certain to disconnect anyinterconnection cords with othercomponents, and make certain thatyou disconnect any powered unitsfrom the AC outlet.3. Read Instructions. All the safetyand operating instructions should beread before the product is operated.4. Retain Instructions. The safety andoperating instructions should beretained for future reference.5. Heed Warnings. All warnings on theproduct and in the operating instruc-tions should be adhered to.6. Follow Instructions. All operatingand use instructions should be fol-lowed.7. Water and Moisture. The productshould not be used near water – forexample, near a bathtub, washbowl,kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wetbasement, or near a swimming pool,and the like.8. Accessories. To ensure properoperation and to avoid the potentialfor safety hazards, place the unit on afirm and level surface. When placingthe unit on a shelf, be certain that theshelf and any mounting hardware cansupport the product’s weight.Do not place this pro-duct on an unstablecart, stand, tripod,bracket, or table. Theproduct may fall,causing seriousinjury to a child or adult, and seriousdamage to the product. Use only witha cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or tablerecommended by the manufacturer,or sold with the product. Any mount-ing of the product should follow themanufacturer’s instructions, andshould use a mounting accessoryrecommended by the manufacturer.9. Wall or Ceiling Mounting. Theproduct should be mounted on a wallor ceiling only when and as recom-mended by the manufacturer.10. Cleaning. Unplug this productfrom the wall outlet before cleaning.Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosolcleaners. Use a dry cloth for clean-ing.11. Attachments. Do not use attach-ments not recommended by the prod-uct manufacturer, as they may causehazards.12. Replacement Parts. Whenreplacement parts are required, besure the service technician has usedreplacement parts specified by themanufacturer or that have the samecharacteristics as the original part.Unauthorized substitutions may resultin fire, electric shock or other haz-ards.13. Safety Check. Upon completion ofany service or repairs to this product,ask the service technician to performsafety checks to determine that theproduct is in proper operating condi-tion.14. Feet/Spikes. When positioning, ormoving this product ensure that islifted rather than dragged across anyfloor/mounting surface. This willavoid any damage to the floor/-mounting surface. Attention! Prod-ucts and/or product feet constructedof rubber or plastics may, in seldomcases, react chemically and discolortreated or non-treated wooden sur-faces if positioned withoutprotection.15. Warranty: The followingconditions may result in a void prod-uct warranty:a. the manufacturers serial number isremoved or forged.b. if repairs and/or modificationsand/or other treatments/tuningshave been carried out by non-authorized personnel or acces-sories/supplements are attached,which are not approved by manu-facturer/importer.16. Warranty: The following items arenot covered by the productwarranty:a. Damage caused by inappropriatehandling despite clear instructionsprovided in the owners manual.b. Damage to mechanical parts (suchas record-/playback heads, movingrubber and plastic parts and fuses)as well as results of normal wearand tear.c. Damage caused by external actionor influence.d. Damage caused by missuse byuser.e. Damage caused by excessive elec-trical mains supply voltage or light-ning strike.f. Damage caused by fire, water orsmoke.g. Damage known to buyer prior topurchase.h. Damage caused by professionalemployment of home entertainmentproducts (e.g. for catering trade,restaurants, public address or infi-nite loop announcement use etc.)17. If an outside antenna or cablesystem is connected to the product,be sure the antenna or cable systemis grounded so as to provide someprotection against voltage surges andbuilt-up static charges.
