Follow steps 1-7 of section 9.2, "Removing theImpeller."2. Remove the ceramic seal from the impeller first,by prying between the ceramic and the rubbergasket working in a circle, then remove therubber seal. Do not pry between the rubber andthe plastic impeller, as this will damage theimpeller (See Fig. 5).3. Lubricate (water) the perimeter of the new sealsrubber gasket.4. Press the new ceramic seal and rubber gasketassembly onto the impeller.5. Use Windex or alcohol to remove anyfingerprints from the ceramic seal.6. Using a hammer, tap the old metal w/spring sealout of the mounting bracket from the back side.7. Clean any silicone residue from the mountingbracket where the seal was removed.8. Apply new silicone sealant to the perimeter ofthe new seal and press it into the mountingbracket by hand (See Fig. 6).9.
