18To Convert Surface Burners1. If the burner grates are installed, remove them.2. Remove burner cap.3. Remove the burner base.4. Apply masking tape to the end of a 7 mm nut driver to helphold the gas orifice spud in the nut driver while changing it.Insert nut driver into the gas opening and press down ontothe gas orifice spud and remove by turning the gas orificespud counterclockwise and lifting out. Set gas orifice spudaside.5. Replace with correct LP gas orifice spud. See the “LP GasOrifice Spud/Hood Chart.”Use the following chart to find the exact orifice spudplacement.Fully insert choke into bottom of medium burner base. Chokeshould snap into place.LP Gas Orifice Spud/Hood Chart6. Place Natural gas orifice in plastic parts bag for future useand keep with package containing literature.7. Replace the burner base.8. Replace burner cap.9. Repeat steps 2 through 8 for the remaining burners.Complete Installation1. Refer to the “Make Gas Connection” section for properlyconnecting the range to the gas supply.2. Refer to the “Electronic Ignition System” section for properburner ignition, operation, and burner flame adjustments.IMPORTANT: You may have to adjust the “LO” setting foreach cooktop burner.Checking for proper cooktop burner flame is very important.The small inner cone should have a very distinct blue flame¼" (0.64 cm) to ½" (1.3 cm) long. The outer cone is not asdistinct as the inner cone. LP gas flames have a slightlyyellow tip.3.
