9Level the Refrigerator DrawersIMPORTANT:■ Overlay Model—Be sure to install the custom overlay drawerpanels before leveling the refrigerator drawers. See “InstallCustom Overlay Drawer Panels.”■ Before installing the refrigerator drawers, be sure that thecountertop is level.■ If the countertop is not level, adjust the refrigerator drawers’leveling legs until the appliance is square with the countertop.Be sure to maintain ³⁄₈" (9.5 mm) minimum gap between thetop of the drawer and the countertop.1. Open the top drawer and place the level across the topdrawer as shown. Check the level from left to right.2. Turn the leveling legs (front and back) until the top drawermeasures level from left to right.3. Remove the level and close the top drawer. Check the gapbetween the top of the drawer and the countertop. If the gapmeasures less than ³⁄₈" (9.5 mm) minimum, turn all fourleveling bolts equally to the left to raise the leveling legs (thiswill lower the appliance). Recheck the level.4. Open both drawers less than midway. Place the level on theside flange beside the drawers as shown. Turn the frontleveling bolts together in order to either raise or lower theappliance until the sides of the refrigerator drawers are plumb.5. Remove the level and close the drawers. Recheck the gapbetween the top of the drawer and the countertop. If the gapmeasures less than ³⁄₈" (9.5 mm), turn all four leveling boltsequally to raise the leveling legs (this will lower the appliance).Recheck the level.NOTE: Be sure to recheck the horizontal level of the topdrawer.6. Be sure all four levelers are on the floor and supporting the fullweight of the refrigerator drawers.Install Custom Overlay PanelIMPORTANT:■ Create a custom overlay panel according to the specificationsin “Custom Overlay Drawer Panels.”■ Jenn-Air is not responsible for the removal or addition ofmolding or decorative panels that would not allow access tothe refrigerator for service.Attach the Overlay PanelNOTE: If the overlay hooks are not installed, see “Custom OverlayDrawer Panels” for overlay hook locations.1. Position the overlay panel ¹⁄₂" (1.27 cm) higher than the door.Be sure to position the overlay hooks to the pilot holes.2. Insert the overlay hooks into the top of the holes in the door.Push against the overlay panel to force the overlay hooksdeeper into the door. Pull the overlay panel straight down tosecure the overlay hooks to the door.3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, attach the overlay plates to thebottom of the overlay panel and door as shown.Complete Installation1. Remove all boxes, parts packages and packing materials fromthe interior of the refrigerator drawers.2. Remove the film.3. Clean the refrigerator drawers before use.4. The controls are preset at the factory to the recommendedsettings. Be sure that the compressor is operating properlyand that all the lights are working.A. Check the level from left to right.A.
