After Self=CleaningAbout one hour after the end of the clean cycle, the lockwill disengage and OVEN COOLING will go off in thedisplay. At this pohlt, the door can be opened.Some soil may leave a light gray, powdery ash which can beremoved with a damp cloth. If soil remains, it indicates thatthe clean cycle was not long enough. The soil will be removedduring the next clean cycle.If the oven racks were left in the oven and do not slidesmoothly after a clean cycle, wipe racks and embossed racksupports with a small amount of vegetable oil to restore easeof movement.A white discoloration may appear after cleaning if acidic orsugary foods were not wiped up before the clean cycle. This isnormal and will NOT affect performance.Notes:• If the oven door is left open, CLOSE DOOR will appear inthe display until the door is closed.• If more than 30 seconds elapse between pressing theClean pad and pressing a number pad, the program willautomatically return to the previous display.° The oven door will be damaged if it is forced to openduring cleaning or cooling process.• The first few times the oven is cleaned, some smoke andodor may be detected. This is normal and will lessen ordisappear with use. If the oven is heavily soiled, or if thebroiler pan was accidently left in the oven, excessivesmoke and odor may occur.° As the oven heats and cools, you may hear sounds ofmetal parts expanding and contracting. To open panel, grasp sides and pull upward, lifting out.To close panel, align catches with the studs on the range. Press the access panel STUDS,forward onto the studs and drop downward to engage.° Wash with soap and water, a glass cleaner, or mild liquid sprays.° Do not use excessive amounts of water.° To prevent scratching or dulling of the finish, do not use mildly abrasive, harsh orcaustic cleaners such as oven cleaners.Important: To avoid the possibility of accidentally disconnecting any part of theventilation system, do not use the area behind the access panel for storage.° To activate control lock for cleaning, see Locking the Control, page 18.° Wipe with damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.• Glass cleaners may be used if sprayed on a cloth first. DO NOTspray directly on controlpads anddisplay area.• Do not use other cleaning sprays, abrasive cleaners or large amounts of water on the panel.• Remove knobs in the OFF position by pulling forward.• Wash, rinse and dry. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents as they may scratch the finish.• Turn on each element to be sure the knobs have been correctly replaced.Cont.6
