21CARE AND C LEANINGTo avoid electrical shock which can cause severepersonal injury or death, disconnect power torefrigerator before replacing light bulb. Afterreplacing light bulb, reconnect power.WARNINGTo avoid personal injury or property damage,observe the following:• Allow light bulb to cool.• Wear gloves when replacing light bulb.CAUTIONReplacing Light BulbsFresh Food Section(style of light shield varies)1. Slide clear light shieldtoward back ofcompartment to releasefrom light assembly.2. Remove light bulbs.3. Replace with appliancebulbs no greater than 40 watts.4. Replace light bulb cover by inserting tabs on lightshield into liner holes on each side of lightassembly. Slide shield toward front of refrigeratoruntil it locks into place. Do not force shield beyondlocking point. Doing so may damage light shield.Freezer (style of light shield varies)1. Reach behind the lightcover.2. With firm pressure, pressforward on the notches atthe back of the cover andpull down. The cover willopen from the back.3. Remove the cover.4. Remove light bulb.5. Replace bulb withappliance bulb nogreater than 40 watts.6. Insert front tabs of lightcover into slots in freezerliner and snap rearportion over lightassembly until rear tabengages.
