Wear ear protectors (plugs or muffs) if thenoise exceeds safe levels.7. Wear gloves and protective clothing ifoperation produces sparks or flying particles.Gloves should be tight-fitting, without frayedfingers or hanging threads. Keep hands andbody away from the working area of tool.8. Some dust created by power sanding, sawing,grinding, drilling and other constructionactivities contains chemicals known to causecancer, birth defects or other reproductiveharm. Some examples of these chemicalsare:• Lead from lead based paint.• Crystalline silica from bricks, cement andother masonry products.• Arsenic and chromium from chemicallytreated lumber.Your risk of exposure varies, depending onhow often you do this type of work. To reduceyour exposure to these chemicals, work in awell-ventilated area and work with approvedsafety equipment, such as face or dust masksthat are specifically designed to filter outmicroscopic particles.9. Do not operate an air tool continually at fullthrottle without a work load on the tool.10. The air tool must be properly lubricated beforeoperating.11. Never start a percussion type air tool (chipper,breaker, buster, etc.) without securing thetooling in the retainer and placing the tipagainst the work surface.12. Do not operate air tool without its guards inplace. Do not modify the tool.13. Do not operate this tool while tired or underthe influence of drugs, alcohol, or anymedication.14. Adopt a comfortable posture with properbalance, and maintain secure footing at alltimes. Non-slip footwear or anti-skid floorstrips are recommended.15. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Confinelong hair.16. Excessive air pressure and too much freerotation may decrease life of the tool and maycause a hazardous situation.17. Check air hoses for wear, and keep themaway from heat and sharp edges. Repair orreplace damaged air hose immediately. Donot carry tool by the air hose.18. Air hose may cause tripping hazards; keephose away from traffic areas.19. Do not use this tool near flammable objects,or in potentially explosive environments. Donot use near live electrical wires.
