Do not operate the machine!Dispose of the packing in an environmentally friendlymanner.Clean all rust protected surfaces with a mild solvent e.g.petroleum.(Note: lacquer thinner or similar can destroy the paint).Slide the rising handle (D, Fig 2) onto the table bracket shaft.Turn the handle until the clamping screw is opposite the flatsection on the shaft and tighten the clamping screw (T).Install three down feed handles (L) into the down feed hub.Install the chuck guard (H).Lubricate gently with grease.-the drive splines (grooves) in the spindle-the teeth of the quill-the column-rackMains connection and any extension cords used must complywith applicable regulations.The mains voltage must comply with the information on themachine licence plate.The mains connection must have a10 A surge-proof fuse.Only use power cords marked H07RN-FConnections and repairs to the electrical equipment may onlybe carried out by qualified electricians.You can start the machine with the green on button. The redbutton on the main switch stops the machine.If the direction of rotation is not correct, the phase converterinside the CCE Euro plug must be pushed in and turned180°.Before further using the drill press, it is advisable to break inthe V-belt.Tighten the belt and keep the machine running at 1450 rpmfor approximately 30 minutes.Always adjust the table and the depth stop to prevent drillinginto the table. Use a back-up piece of scrap wood to coverthe table. This protects both the table and the drill bit.Secure workpiece to the table with clamps or a vice toprevent rotating with the drill bit.T-slot size is 14 mm.Feed the bit into the material with only enough force to allowthe drill bit to work.Feeding too slowly may cause burning of the workpiece.Feeding too quickly may cause the motor to stop and/or thedrill bit to break.RWood: 2000 RPMPlastic: 1500 RPMAluminium: 1500 RPMBrass: 1500 RPMCast iron: 1000 RPMMild steel: 800 RPMTDLH
