7Fig 8Tilt the cutting head to the left untilthe desired angle on the scale hasbeen reached.Retighten the cutting head lock knobbefore machine operation.Mitre cutting:The mitre angle can be adjustedbetween -45° and +45°.The 2 miter lock knobs (F, Fig 1)behind the fence must be loosened.Rotate the cutting head until thedesired angle on the table scale hasbeen reached.Retighten the table locking knobsbefore machine operation.Mitre bevel cutting:Select the correct bevel and mitreangles.7. Setup and adjustmentsGeneral note:Setup and adjustment work mayonly be carried out after themachine is protected againstaccidental starting by pulling themains plug.7.1 Changing the sawbladeThe sawblade has to meet thetechnical specification.Check sawblade for flaws (cracks, broken teeth, bending) beforeinstallation. Do not use faultysawblades. The sawblade teeth must point incutting direction (down)Always wear suitable gloves whenhandling sawblades. The sawblades may only bechanged when the mains plug ispulled!Remove the blade’s protective coverby unscrewing the two screws (R, Fig9) on the side and flip up theprotective cover (S).Fig 9Press the spindle lock button (U, Fig3) and loosen the sawblade clampingscrew with the supplied spanner (T).Attention: Left hand treadRemove the outer clamping flange.Replace the sawblade (J, Fig 1).The teeth of the blade must point inthe same direction as the arrow onthe protective cover. The flanges should be cleaned beforethe new blade is fitted.Fit the outer clamping flange backinto position and tighten the clampingscrew.Reposition the plastic protectivecover and tighten the two screws (R,Fig 9).7.2 Laser AdjustmentThe line laser (V, Fig 10) must beadjusted so that the beam meets thecutting line.Use the screws (W) for adjustmentFig.10Attention:Class 2 laser product, do not stareinto beam of laser.7.3 Bevel Stop AdjustmentThe 90° and 45° bevel stops areadjusted ex works. In case of need they can be adjustedwith the screws (X, Fig 8)7.4 Cutting Depth AdjustmentThe cutting depth can be adjustedwith the screw (Q, Fig2).This allows a halve cut of theworkpiece when cutting with slide.Attention:After each adjustment check the freemovement of the sawblade beforeswitching on the machine.8. Maintenance and inspectionGeneral notes:Maintenance, cleaning and repairwork may only be carried out afterthe machine is protected againstaccidental starting by pulling themains plug.Repair and maintenance work on theelectrical system may only be carriedout by a qualified electrician.Repair work on the laser beam mayonly be carried out by a specialist.Inspect the proper function of the dustextraction daily. All protective and safety devices mustbe re-attached immediately aftercompleted cleaning, repair andmaintenance work.Defective safety devices must bereplaced immediately.Replace table insert when worn.Cleaning:Clean the machine regularly.Regularly clean the machine housingwith a soft cloth preferably after eachuse.Keep the ventilation slots free fromdust and dirt.If the dirt does not come off use a softcloth moistened with soapy water.Never use solvents such as petrol, alcohol, ammoniac water, etc. Thesesolvents may damage the plasticparts.
