Setup and adjustmentsGeneral note:Setup and adjustment work mayonly be carried out after themachine is protected againstaccidental starting by pulling themains plug.7.1 Changing sawbladeThe sawblade has to meet thetechnical specification.Use only sawblades according toEN 847-1Check sawblade for flaws (cracks,broken teeth, bending) beforeinstallation. Do not use faultysawblades.The sawblade teeth must point incutting direction (down)Always wear suitable gloves whenhandling sawblades.WARNING:When installing or changing sawblade, always disconnect saw frompower source, unplug!Remove the saw guard (A, Fig 1))and table insert (B).Raise sawblade fully.Loosen the arbor nut while stoppingthe arbor against rotation with thesupplied tools (S, T, Fig 15)Fig 15Attention: left hand thread.Remove the arbor nut (R, Fig 16 andflange (Q).Fig 16Place saw blade(P) on arbor shaftmaking sure teeth point down at thefront of the saw.Reinstall flange and arbor nut andsecurely tighten.Order for installation:-adjusting washer (N)-centring flange (O)-saw blade (P)-tightening flange (Q)-left handed nut (R)Reinstall the table insert and the sawguard.7.2 Mounting the raving knifeThe supplied raving knife mustalways be used.Disconnect saw from power source,unplug!The raving knife (F, Fig 17) isclamped with 1 nut (U).Fig 17Adjust the space between sawbladeteeth and raving knife to be 2 to5mm.Well tighten the locking nut (U).7.3 Mounting the saw guardThe saw guard must always be used.Attach the saw guard (A, Fig 18) tothe raving knife (F) with 1 carriagebolt, washer and wing nutFig 18The saw guard must be lowered tothe work piece to minimise theamount of exposed teeth.7.4 Rising and tilting of sawbladeSetup adjustments of the sawbladeshall never be performed when themachine is running.Use the front handle (I, Fig 1)to raisethe sawblade.Use the tilting handle (H, Fig 1) to tiltthe sawblade. Tighten knob to lock inplace.Start the machine with care.7.5 Rip fence setupRip fence setup shall never beperformed when the machine isrunning.Use 2 bots and wing nuts (W, Fig 19)to attach the aluminium profile (G) tothe rip fence bodyFig 19Note:The rip fence profile can be placedflat and adjusted in length.-Use in upright position (Fig 19) forcutting wide stock:-The cutting of small workpieces(width less than 120mm) and tiltedcuts shall only be performed with therip fence profile placed flat (Fig 20).
