The pump in this machine is susceptibleto permanent damage if frozen. FREEZE DAMAGEIS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY.1. Stop the pressure washer, squeeze spray guntrig ger to release pressure.2. Detach water supply hose and high pressurehose.3. Turn on the machine for a few seconds, untilre main ing water exits. Turn engine off imme diate ly.4. Drain the gas and oil from the engine.5. Do not allow high pressure hose to becomekinked.6. Store the machine and accessories in a room whichdoes not reach freezing temperatures.CAUTION: Failure to follow the above directions willresult in dam age to your pressure washer.When the pressure washer is not being operated or isbeing stored for more than one month, follow thesein struc tions:1. Replenish engine oil to upper level.2. Drain gaso line from fuel tank, fuel line, fuel valveand carburetor.3. Pour about one teaspoon of engine oil throughthe spark plug hole, pull the starter grip severaltimes and re place the plug. Then pull the startergrip slowly until you feel increased pressure whichindicates the piston is on its compression stroke andleave it in that position. This closes both the intakeand exhaust valves to prevent rusting of cylin der.4. Cover pressure washer and store in a clean, dryplace that is well ventilated away from open fl ameor sparks. NOTE: Use of a fuel additive, such asSTA-BIL®, or an equivalent, will minimize the formu-lation of fuel deposits during storage. Such additivesmay be added to the gasoline in the fuel tank of theengine, or to the gasoline in a storage container.After Extended StorageCAUTION: Prior to restarting, thaw out anypossi ble ice from pressure washer hoses,spray gun or wand.Engine MaintenanceDuring the winter months, rare atmospheric conditionsmay develop which will cause an icing condi tion in thecar bu re tor. If this devel ops, the engine may run rough,lose power and may stall. This temporary condition canbe overcome by defl ecting some of the hot air from theen gine over the carburetor area. Open de-ter gent metering valve. Pull triggeron spray gun and si phon water forone minute. Close detergent valve.STEP 2: Turn off the engine.
