12 Englishm DangerThe appliance contains hot sur-faces that can lead to burn inju-ries.During burner operation, you must keep aminimum distance of 1 meter from flam-mable objects!Never touch the mains plug and the sock-et with wet hands.The appliance must not be used if thepower cord or important parts of the appli-ance, e.g. high-pressure hoses, triggergun or safety devices are damaged.Check the power cord and mains plug fordamage before every use. If the powercord is damaged, please arrange for it tobe replaced immediately by an authorisedrepair agent or a skilled electricianCheck the high-pressure hose for damagebefore every use. Please arrange for theimmediate replacement of a damagedhigh-pressure hose.The appliance may not be used in areaswhere a risk of explosion is present.If the appliance is used in hazardous are-as (e.g. filling stations) the correspondingsafety provisions must be observed.High-pressure jets can bedangerous if improperlyused. The jet must not be di-rected at persons, animals,live electrical equipment or at the appli-ance itself.The high-pressure jet must not be direct-ed at other persons or directed by the userat him/herself to clean clothing or foot-wear.Never use the appliance to clean objectscontaining hazardous substances (e.g.asbestos).Vehicle tyres or tyre valves are suscepti-ble to damage from the high-pressure jetand may burst. The first indication of thisis a discolouration of the tyre. Damagedvehicle tyres/tyre valves are highly dan-gerous. Ensure that a distance of at least30 cm is observed when cleaning with thejet!Never draw in fluids containing solvents orundiluted acids and solvents! This in-cludes petrol, paint thinner and heatingoil. The spray mist thus generated is high-ly inflammable, explosive and poisonous.Do not use acetone, undiluted acids andsolvents as they are damaging to the ma-terials from which the appliance is made.n WarningThe mains plug and the coupling of an ex-tension cable must be watertight and mustnever lay in the water.Unsuitable extension cables can be haz-ardous. Only use extension cables out-doors which have been approved for thispurpose and labelled with a sufficient ca-ble cross-section: 1 - 10 m: 1.5 mm2; 10 -30 m: 2.5 mm2Always fully unroll electrical cables fromthe cable drum.High-pressure hoses, fixtures and cou-plings are important for the safety of theappliance. Only use high-pressure hoses,fixtures and couplings recommended bythe manufacturer.This appliance is not intended for use bypersons with reduced physical, sensory ormental capabilities.The appliance must not be operated bychildren or persons who have not been in-structed accordingly.Children should be supervised to preventthem from playing with the appliance.The operator must use the appliance cor-rectly. When working with the appliance,he must consider the local conditions andpay due care and attention to other per-sons, in particular children, who are near-by.Do not use the appliance when there areother persons around unless they are alsowearing safety equipment.Wear protective clothing and safety gog-gles to protect against splash back con-taining water or dirt.CautionIn case of extended downtimes, switchthe appliance off at the main switch / ap-pliance switch or remove the mains plug.Safety instructions
