4 – English RC 3000When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always befollowed, including the following:READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCEIMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSWARNING - To reduce the risk of fire,electric shock, or injury:1. Do not leave appliance whenplugged in. Unplug from outlet whennot in use and before servicing.2. Do not use outdoors or on wetsurfaces.3. Do not allow to be used as a toy.Close attention is necessary whenused by or near children.4. Use only as described in this manual.Use only manufacturer’s recommen-ded attachments.5. Do not use with damaged cord orplug. If appliance is not working as itshould, has been dropped, dama-ged, left outdoors, or dropped intowater, return it to a service center.6. Do not pull or carry by cord, use cordas a handle, close a door on cord, orpull cord around sharp edges orcorners. Do not run appliance overcord. Keep cord away from heatedsurfaces.7. Do not unplug by pulling on cord. Tounplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.8. Do not handle plug or appliance withwet hands.9. Do not put any object into openings.Do not use with any opening blok-ked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, andanything that may reduce air flow.10. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers,and all parts of body away fromopenings and moving parts.11. Turn off all controls before unplugging.12. Use extra care when cleaning onstairs.13. Do not use to pick up flammable orcombustible liquids, such as gasoli-ne, or use in areas where they maybe present.14. This appliance is provided withdouble insulation. Use only identicalreplacement parts. See instructionsfor Servicing of Double-InsulatedAppliances.15. Do not pick up anything that isburning or smoking, such as cigaret-tes, matches, or hot ashes.16. Do not use without all filters in place.SERVICING OF DOUBLE-INSULATEDAPPLIANCESIn a double-insulated appliance, twosystems of insulation are provided insteadof grounding. No grounding means isprovided on a double-insulated appliance,nor should a means for grounding beadded to the appliance. Servicing adouble-insulated appliance requires extre-me care and knowledge of the system, andshould be done only by qualified servicepersonnel.
