It will automatically come outof standby instantly when a audio signal is appliedto the inputs.Phase.Adjusts the phase of the subwoofer outputrelative to your main speakers from 0 to 180degrees in 5 degree steps.Polarity.This switches the acoustic polarity of the outputby 180 degrees. The phase and polarity settingsapply to both the Left and Right line level inputsand the LFE line level input.Vol.This decreases or increases the subwoofersvolume relative to the main speakers.Slope.Switches the Low Pass Filter slope between 12(shallow) and 24dB per octave (steep). This should be set to allow the best integrationwith your main speakers.Frequency.Increases or decreases the internal low pass filtercut off frequency in the subwoofer between25Hz and 150Hz so that it integrates with themain speakers.POWERAUTO/PHASE VOL FREQL+R EQ RCLSELECTUSER PRESETSROOM CORRECTIONLFE EQPOLARITY SLOPEMANUALThe Frequency and Slope controls apply only tothe Left and Right line level inputs and are notapplicable to the LFE input where it is assumedan external surround sound processor iscontrolling the bass management externally.L+R EQ.Selects the Equalisation (EQ) that is applied tothe LEFT and RIGHT line level inputs. There are7 different EQs as defined on page 22.The subwoofer will default to the standard “flat”EQ unless an alternative is selected.LFE EQ.Selects the EQ that is applied to the LFE line levelinput. There are 7 different EQs as defined onpage 22. The subwoofer will default to thestandard EQ until an alternative is selected. It isintentional that the LFE EQ can be set differentlyfrom the L+R EQ so that the subwoofer can beoptimised for both a stereo system and a AVsystem without having to change any wiring.RCL.Increases or decreases the Room CorrectionLevel applied to the acoustic output.Room Correction Setup.Starts the Room Correction Setup process forwhich the microphone must be connectedSelect. This enables you to confirm the room correctionsettings at each stagePresets.Allows the user to select one of 6 different generalsettings for the KEF Reference Series 209subwoofer. Pressing and holding the Preset buttonwill save all of the current settings (Volume, Polarity,Phase, Frequency, Slope, Room Correction Leveland EQs) to that numbered Preset.Subwoofer/Satellite Integration : CorrectSubwoofer/Satellite Integration : Too Low.Increase the frequency.Subwoofer/Satellite Integration : Too High.Reduce the frequency.K7262 REF 209208 Combined Manual_v2 12/2/08 12:40 Page 16
