Press the key, the balance will run through a ”tEst “ mode. “0.000 “ will appearon the display screen after a few seconds. A short warm-up period of approx. 10minutes is advisable for stabilisation purposes.2. It is possible to start up a pre-heating process that pre-heats the weighing regionto a reasonable drying process temperature. This pre-heating process is only practi-cal before initial drying if there are to be several consecutive drying procedures.This procedure can be triggered whilst “tEmP “ is on the display screen by operatingthe key. The balance switches automatically to weighing mode after a few min-utes.Use the key to enter weighing mode.Apply an empty sampling tray. Press the key, place the sample quantity on thetray (see diagram 1) and close the cover.Sample distribution:SolidsDistribute powdery and granular samples evenly on thesampling tray.Reduce coarse grained samples to small pieces (grind,mortar)FluidsApply viscous and gluey samples in thin layers. It is ad-visable to use a glass fibre filter.Avoid weight loss due to splashes by covering the samplewith a glass fibre filter. Remember to tare off the weight ofthe glass fibre filter.Diagram 1
