42RECORDING (TIMER)The (red dot) button allows you to set up a programme at any time for recording on an external recorder.The programme to be recorded can be selected in any of the EPG views, provided the (red dot) buttonappears at the bottom of the screen display.Programme present in the EPG:Select the desired programme and press the (red dot) button. The following display appears (seeexample picture below):Programme not present in the EPG:Select any programme on the channel on which the desired programme is to be transmitted at a latertime and press the (red dot) button (starting and finishing times together with the recording date mustbe input manually). The following display appears (example):Use the buttons to select the desired recording mode. The following recording mode options areavailable:- once: The recording will be performed once only- daily: The recording will be performed daily at a time specified by you- weekly: The recording will be performed once a week on the same day and at the same time- user-defi ned: The recording will be performed on days specified by you at times specified by you- Series recording: The selected programme will be set up by the EPG for recording every timeit is transmitted (may even be on different channels). This function does however require a dailyupdate of the EPG data (the data are updated automatically when switching off into stand-by mode).Use the cursor buttons () to select the further items and use the number buttons to completethe settings. When all settings have been made, press the button to save the recording settings.You can view the scheduled recordings in the timer list view of the EPG (see section “Timer list”).EPG - ELECTRONIC PROGRAMME GUIDERemember to pro-gram your externalrecorder in accor-dance with the timerlist programmed inthe receiver.
