English 31Custom POIs (Points of Interest)You can manually load custom points of interest(POI) databases, available from various companieson the Internet. Some custom POI databasescontain alert information for points such as safetycameras and school zones. The navigation systemcan notify you when you approach one of thesepoints. You are responsible for ensuring that youruse of safety camera information is lawful in yourarea.WARNINGGarmin and JVC KENWOOD are not responsible forthe consequences of using custom POI databases,or for the accuracy of custom POI databases.After downloading your POI database, use theGarmin POI Loader to install the POIs onto aUSB mass storage device. Use the USB massstorage device to load the POIs. The POI Loader isavailable at www.garmin.com/products/poiloader. Refer to the POI Loader Help file formore information; click Help to open the Helpfile.⁄• Each time you load custom POIs to the navigationsystem, any other custom POIs already saved in thesystem will be overwritten.Finding Custom POIs1 Select Where To? > Categories > CustomPOIs.2 Select a category.
