This setting isnot available when subwoofer is set to “None”.See Speaker setup (P.94).Bass BoostSets the amount of bass boost among “OFF”/“Level1”/ “Level2”/ “Level3”.LoudnessTurns the loudness control function on oroff. If turned on, high and low tones areautomatically enhanced during low volume.Settable only when zone function (P.101) is setto off.* If you have increased the volume first, thenreduced the volume using the “VolumeOffset”, the sound generated if yousuddenly switch to another source may beextremely loud.Equalizer ControlYou can adjust equalizer by selecting theoptimized setting for each category.If you use , you can also adjustequalizer manually.1 Touch [Equalizer].Equalizer screen appears.operationControlling EQ curves1 Select EQ curve from [Natural],[Rock], [Pops], [Easy], [Top40], [Jazz],[Powerful], [iPod], and [User].NOTE• [iPod] is available only during iPod source.Controlling equalizer manuallyThis setting cannot be performed when youselect [iPod] in the Equalizer screen.1 Touch [EQ] in the Equalizer screen.2 Touch the screen and set the GraphicEqualizer as desired.Gain level (light green boxed area)Adjust the gain level by touching the eachfrequency bar.Touching [2], [3], [5] and [∞] can alsoadjust the level. Use [2] and [3] to select afrequency, and [5] and [∞] to set the level.EQ INITReturns to the previous level which the gainlevel is adjusted.FlatTone curve becomes flat.Bass EXT (Bass Extend Settings)When turned on, the frequency lower than62.5 Hz is set to the same gain level as 62.5 Hz.LoudnessWhen turned on, low and high tones areenhanced.Highway SoundBoosts a certain range of sound that becomeshard to hear due to road noise.
