This function permits the connection of optional players andthe playing of discs other than the loaded CD (in the currentunit).Playing Discs:Press the SRC button repeatedly to select the external disccontrol mode.The disc will start playing.The external disc control mode will differ, depending on the unitthat is connected.Mode Display Examples• "CD2" ...when a CD player is connected• "DISC" ...when a disc changer is connected• "DISC-1" , "DISC-2" ...when two disc changers are connectedPausing and Restarting Disc Play:Press the 38 button to make the disc pause.Press the same button again to start play again.• When one disc has finished playing its last track, the next discin the changer will start playing. When the last disc in thechanger has finished, the player will return to the first disc andstart playing it.• Disc #10 is displayed as "0".NOTENOTEPlaying Other Disc mode• When you load a CD and eject it right away, the next time youtry to insert the CD may not load. In such a situation, take theCD out for a moment and then reinsert it.• The only buttons that will work during the eject state are the 0and ATT buttons.NOTEPlaying CDs:Press the release button to slide open the faceplate, showingthe CD insertion slot.Holding the CD with the labeled side facing up, insert it in theslot. The CD will start playing. Push back the bottom of thefaceplate with your hand until it locks.The "IN" indicator will light when a CD has been inserted.When inserting a CD, make sure the CD has been completelydrawn in before pushing back the faceplate. Failing to do somight scratch the CD.Playing CDs Already Inserted:Press the SRC (source) button repeatedly to select the CDmode."CD" is displayed when the CD mode has been selected.The CD will start playing.Pausing and Restarting CD Play:Press the 38 button to make the disc pause.Press the same button again to start play again.Eject:Press the release button and slide open the faceplate.Press the 0 button.The CD stops playing and ejects from the slot.Push back the bottom of the faceplate with your hand until itlocks.• Do not attempt to insert a CD into the slot if another one isalready there.• The unit can only play 5 in. CDs. If you insert a 3 in. CD, it willget stuck inside and can cause the unit to malfunction.• When the faceplate has been slid open, it might interfere withthe shift lever or something else.
