Function of the KDC-Z838Turning the Non-fading output ON or OFF.Press the [NF] button for at least 1 second.Each time the button is pressed Non-fading output switches ONor OFF.When it’s ON, "NF ON" is displayed.Non-fading OutputSelecting the display when this device is switched to Auxiliaryinput source.1 Select Auxiliary input sourcePress the [SRC] button.Select the "AUX" display.2 Enter Auxiliary input display setting modePress the [DISP] button for at least 2 seconds.The presently selected AUX Name is blinks.3 Select the Auxiliary input displayPress the [4] or [¢] button.Each time the button is pressed it switches through the belowdisplays.• "AUX"• "TV"• "VCP"• "GAME"• "PORTABLE"• "DVD"4 Exit Auxiliary input display setting modePress the [DISP] button.When operation stops for 10 seconds, the name at that time isselected, and Auxiliary input display setting mode closes.Auxiliary Input Display Setting— 15 —Function of the KDC-Z838Makes the sound different for the front channel and rearchannel.1 channel is the unit's internal source, the other channel is theAuxiliary input source sound.Press the [S.A] button for at least 1 second.Each time the button is pressed for at least 1 second Dual ZoneSystem switches ON or OFF.When it’s ON, "Zone 2 ON" is displayed.• When the Dual Zone System is ON, there is no Auxiliary inputsource channel audio control or other effect.• When the Dual Zone System is being used the internal sourcechannel can't be used with an External disc source.• When you set the Dual zone system to ON while the non-fadingpreout is switched ON, the sound of the non-fading preout isn’toutput.• The Dual Zone System can be used with the optional Auxiliaryinput sources shown below.- KCA-S210A- CA-C1AX- CD changer with an Auxiliary input function installed.• This function can be used in Auxiliary input source.• The front channel and rear channel can be set to be the internalsource or the Auxiliary input source.
