30FleetSync is an Alphanumeric 2-way Paging Function, and is aprotocol owned by Kenwood Corporation. FleetSync enablesa variety of paging functions on your transceiver, some ofwhich depend on dealer programming.Your dealer can set up either FleetSync or FleetSync II onyour transceiver. Transceivers set up with FleetSync cancommunicate with other transceivers that have been set upwith FleetSync. Likewise, transceivers set up with FleetSync IIcan communicate with other transceivers set up with FleetSyncII. However, transceivers set up with FleetSync cannotcommunicate with transceivers that have been set up withFleetSync II and viceversa.Note: This function is available only in analog operation.SelcAll (Selective cAlling)A Selcall is a voice call to a particular station or to a group ofstations.■ Transmitting1 Select your desired zone and channel.2 Press the key programmed as Selcall or Selcall +Status to enter Selcall mode.3 Press the / keys to select the ID of the stationyou want to call.• On keypad models, if Manual Dialing is enabled, you canenter the station ID by using the DTMF keypad.4 Press the PTT switch and begin your conversation.■ ReceivingAn alert tone will sound and the transceiver willautomatically enter Selcall Mode.The calling station’s ID will appear when a Selcall isreceived.
