ENGLISH4 ENCaution: Read this page carefully to ensure safe operation.IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS6. Temperature – The appliance may not function properlyif used at extremely low, or freezing temperatures. Theideal ambient temperature is above +5°C (41°F).7. Heat – The appliance should be situated away from heatsources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, orother appliances (including amplifiers) that produceheat. Do not place a flaming object, such as a candle orlantern, on or near the appliance.8. Electric shock – Care should be taken so that objects donot fall and liquid is not spilled into the enclosurethrough openings. If a metal objects, such as a hair pinor a needle, comes into contact with the inside of thisappliance, a dangerous electric shock may result. Forfamilies with children, never permit children to putanything, especially metal, inside this appliance.9. Enclosure removal – Never remove the enclosure. Ifthe internal parts are touched accidentally, a seriouselectric shock might occur.10. Magnetic fields – Keep the appliance away from sourcesof magnetic fields such as TV sets, speaker systems,radios, motorized toys or magnetized objects.11. Cleaning – Unplug this appliance from the wall outletbefore cleaning. Do not use volatile solvents such asalcohol, paint thinner, gasoline, or benzine, etc. to cleanthe cabinet. Use a clean dry cloth.12. Accessories – Do not place this appliance on an unstablecart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. The appliance mayfall, causing serious injury to a child or adult, and seriousdamage to the appliance. Use only with a cart, stand,tripod, bracket, or table recommended by themanufacturer, or sold with the appliance. Any mountingof the appliance should follow the manufacturer’sinstructions, and should use a mounting accessoryrecommended by the manufacturer. An appliance andcart combination should be moved with care. Quickstops, excessive force, and uneven surfaces may causethe appliance and cart combination to overturn.Please read all of the safety and operating instructionsbefore operating this appliance. Adhere to all warnings onthe appliance and in the instruction manual. Follow all thesafety and operating instructions. These safety and operatinginstructions should be retained for future reference.1. Power sources – The appliance should be connected toa power supply only of the type described in theinstruction manual or as marked on the appliance. If youare not sure of the type of power supply to your home,consult your appliance dealer or local power company.For appliances intended to operate from battery power,or other sources, refer to the instruction manual.2. Power-cord protection – Power-supply cords shouldbe routed so that they are not likely to be walked on orpinched by items placed upon or against them, payparticular attention to cords at plugs, conveniencereceptacles, and the point where they exit from theappliance.3. CAUTION – Polarization – This appliance maybe equipped with a polarized alternating-current lineplug (a plug having one blade wider than the other). Thisplug will fit into the power outlet only one way. This isa safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fullyinto the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug shouldstill fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace yourobsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of thepolarized plug.4. Ventilation – Slots and openings in the cabinet areprovided for ventilation and to ensure reliable operationof the appliance and to protect it from overheating, andthese openings must not be blocked or covered. Theappliance should be situated so that its location orposition does not interfere with its proper ventilation.To maintain good ventilation, do not put records or atable-cloth on the appliance. Place the appliance at least10 cm away from the walls.Do not use the appliance on a bed, sofa, rug or similarsurface that may block the ventilation openings. Thisappliance should not be placed in a built-in installationsuch as a bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation isprovided or the manufacturer’s instructions have beenadhered to.5. Water and moisture – The appliance shall not beexposed to dripping and splashing - for example, near abathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wetbasement, or near a swimming pool, etc. Do not placean object containing liquid, such as a flower vase, on theappliance.Never pull or stretch the cord.
