For best results, follow all warnings placedon the unit and adhere to the operating and use instructions.These safety and operating instructions should be retained forfuture reference.1. Power sources — The unit should be connected to apower supply only of the type described in the operatinginstructions or as marked on the appliance.2. Power-cord protection — Power-supply cords should berouted so that they are not likely to be walked on orpinched by items placed upon or against them, pay par¬ticular attention to cords at plugs, convenience recepta¬cles, and the point where they exit from the unit.Never pull or stretch3. Ventilation — The unit should be situated so that its lo¬cation or position does not interfere with its proper venti¬lation.To maintain good ventilation, do not put records or a table¬cloth on the unit. Place the unit at least 10 cm away fromthe walls.Do not use the unit on a bed, sofa, rug or similar surfacethat may block the ventilation openings.4. Water and moisture — The unit should not be used nearwater — for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitch¬en sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swim¬ming pool, etc.5. Temperature — The unit may not function properly ifused at extremely low, or freezing temperatures. The idealambient temperature is above +5°C (41 °F).6. Heat — The unit should be situated away from heatsources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or otherunits (including amplifiers) that produce heat.7. Electric shock — Care should be taken so that objectsdo not fall and liquid is not spilled into the enclosurethrough openings. If a metal object, such as a hair pin ora needle, comes into contact with the inside of this unit,a dangerous electric shock may result. For families withchildren, never permit children to put anything, especial¬ly metal, inside this unit.8. Enclosure removal — Never remove the enclosure. If theinternal parts are touched accidentally, a serious electricshock might occur.9. Cleaning — Do not use volatile solvents such as alco¬hol, paint thinner, gasoline, or benzine, etc. to clean thecabinet. Use a clean dry cloth.10. Abnormal smell — If an abnormal smell or smokeis detected, immediately turn the power OFF andpull out the power cord. Contact your dealer ornearest service center.
