42• External Speaker (ESP)Press this key to switch the speaker from the transceiver’sbuilt-in speaker to an optional external speaker. Whenpressed, all messages and tones will sound from theoptional external speaker that is attached to thetransceiver, rather than from the transceiver’s built-inspeaker.• Function (FNC)Press this key to activate the second function of theprogrammable keys. “FC” appears on the display whenthis key is pressed. Press a programmable key to activateits secondary function. (DTMF keys can also beprogrammed with second functions for use with this key.)• Home Channel (HOM)Press this key to jump to your home zone and channel.Your home zone and channel is programmed by yourdealer.If activated by your dealer, you can set your own HomeChannel. First, select your desired zone and channel,then press and hold the Home Channel key for 3 secondsto set your selected zone and channel as the HomeChannel.• Individual (IDV)Press this key to activate the Individual Call function.When activated, you must select the ID of the person youwant to call before the call can be made. Refer to “M AKINGI NDIVIDUAL C ALLS” on page 21 for details.• Key Delete (KDL)Use this key to delete any Encryption keys you haveprogrammed onto your transceiver.
