8PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONSThe , , , , S, A, , C>, and keys can be programmed with thefunctions listed below:ï 2-tone EncodePress to enter 2-tone Encode Select mode. Refer to page 19 for details.ï AUXPress to activate the auxiliary port. Press again to deactivate the auxiliaryport. (The auxiliary port is used with optional boards.) While the auxiliary portis activated, the icon appears on the display.ï Call 1Press to transmit the programmed FleetSync Status message, DTMF code, or2-tone code.ï Call 2Press to transmit the programmed FleetSync Status message, DTMF code, or2-tone code.ï Channel DownPress to decrease the channel number.ï Channel UpPress to increase the channel number.ï Direct Zone Channel 1Press and hold for 3 seconds to store the currently selected zone andchannel as the Direct Zone Channel. Press at any time to immediately jumpto the transceiverís Direct Zone Channel. (The default Direct Zone Channel isthe lowest channel of the lowest zone.)ï Display CharacterPress to toggle the display between the zone number/ channel number andthe channel name. If no channel name has been programmed for theselected channel, the zone number/ channel number will be displayed.ï Emergency 2Press and hold to enter Emergency mode. Refer to page 22 for details.ï Horn AlertPress to toggle the Horn Alert function ON and OFF. Refer to page 23 fordetails.ï Key LockPress to lock or unlock the transceiver keys.
