16Question AnswerOperation The transceiver transmits, evenwith no voice input from themicrophone, when the DATAVOX function is set to ON.Turning the DATA VOX to ONcauses the transceiver totransmit, even when themicrophone is not connected.The transceiver transmitswithout my knowledge.When the DATA VOX function is ON, forlaptop computers with internalmicrophones, sounds near the computerthat are loud enough to trigger the VOXare sent to the transceiver andtransmitted by VOX. Or sounds fromother software may be sent to thetransceiver and transmitted by VOX.Please try the following.・ Refer to “4.1.6 Data VOX GainSetting” and adjust the VOX Gain.・ Use a headset.・ While operating the transceiver, donot use other software.If the above methods do not work, turnOFF the DATA VOX function.Also, when the computer is left connectedto the transceiver using the USB cable,sounds from other software, such asalerts, music and video are transmitted tothe transceiver and sent by VOXunintentionally.If you leave the computer andtransceiver connected using a USBcable please turn OFF the DATA VOXbefore using your computer.Reception quality depends onthe device.Voice audio is affected by voice encodingand the quality may differ from the originalvoice reception quality. This is part of theUSB sound function specifications and isunavoidable.I can hear the beeping and voiceguidance audio from thetransceiver on the computer.Alternatively, I want to be able tohear them, but can't.This can be configured in the transceivermenu.Please refer to “4.1.3 Mixed BeepSettings to External Audio Outputs”. |
