(See page 3)@This is a 4 channel amplifier including 2 stereoamplifiers in a body. One amplifier is referredto as amplifier A and the other is amplifier 8.This unit is compatible with a large variety ofsystems by combining the switches and functionsdescribed in the following.CD Fuse (40 A x 2)I NOTE IIf you can't find the specified capacity fuse at yourstore etc., consult your Kenwood dealer.@ Battery terminal® Power control terminalControls the unit ON/OFF.NOTEControls the unit power. Be sure to connect it withall the systems.@) Ground terminal® Speaker output terminals (AochIB.ch)o Stereo Connections:When you wish to use the unit as a stereoamplifier, stereo connections are used.The speakers to be connected should have animpedance of 20 or greater. When multiplespeakers are to be connected, ensure that thecombined impedance is 20 or greater for eachchannel.o Bridged Connections:When you wish to use the unit as a high-outputmonaural amplifier, bridged connections areused. (Make connections to the LEFT channelo and the RIGHT channel e SPEAKER OUTPUTterminals.)The speakers to be connected should have animpedance of 40 or greater. (See page 2)@ Power indicatorWhen the power is turned on, the Power indicatorlights.Qj) INPUT SENSITIVITY control (AochIB.ch)Set this control according to the pre-output levelof the center unit connected with this unit.The sensitivities of amplifiers A and B can beadjusted independently regardless of the positionof the input selector switch.I NOTE IFor the pre-output level, refer to the in the instruction manual of thecenter unit.@ HPFILPF FREQUENCY control (A.chlBoch)Sets the cutoff frequency when the "FILTER"switch is set to "HPF" or "LPF".@ BASS BOOST FREQUENCY control (B.ch)Sets the center frequency around which the lowfrequency range should be boosted.@ BASS BOOST LEVEL control (B.ch)Sets the level by which the low frequency rangeshould be boosted.@ INPUT SELECTOR switchThis switch selects the input method of thesignals to be amplified by amplifiers A and B.o A B position:Amplifies both of the signals input to amplifiersA and B.o A position:Amplifies only signal input amplifier A with bothamplifiers A and B.@ OPERATION switchThe amplification methods of the signals inputcan be selected.o STEREO position:The amplifier can be used as a stereo amplifier.o MONO (Lch) position:Amplifies the signal input from the left sideonly. Set to this position and make bridgedconnections to use as a high-power monauralamplifier. (The input right signal is not output.)@ FILTER switch (AochIB.ch)This switch allows to apply high-pass or low-passfiltering to the speaker outputs.o HPF (High-Pass Filter) position:The filter outputs the band of higher frequenciesthan the frequency set with the "HPFFREQUENCY" control.o OFF position:The entire bandwidth is output without filtering.o LPF (Low-Pass Filter) position:The filter outputs the band of lower frequenciesthan the frequency set with the 'lPFFREQUENCY" control.The speaker output is automatically switched tomonaural (L+R).
