A good flue of the chimney requires a more reduced adjustment ofair for the combustion, while a poor flue needs more an exact adjustment of air for combustion.To verify the good combustion of the stove, check if the smoke coming out from the chimney is transparent.If it is white, it means that the stove is not correctly adjusted or the wood is too wet; if on the contrary thesmoke is gray or black, it means that the combustion is not complete (it is necessary a greater quantity ofsecondary air).11. OPERATION IN TRANSITION PERIODSDuring transition periods when the external temperatures are higher, if there is a sudden increase oftemperature it can happen that the combustion gases inside the flue cannot be completely sucked up.The exhaust gases do not come out completely (intense smell of gas). In this case, shake the grating morefrequently and increase the air for the combustion. Then, load a reduced quantity of fuel in order to permit arapid burning (growing up of the flames) and the stabilization of the draught.Then, check that all openings for the cleaning and the connections to the stack are air-tigh.12. USE OF THE OVENAfter cleaning the grate, load some fuel. Thanks to the air flow for the combustion, the temperature of theoven may become remarkably affected. A sufficient flue of the chimney and of the channels, well cleanedfor the flow of burning smokes around the oven are fundamental for a good cooking result.The oven pan may be located on different plans. Thick cakes and big roasts must be introduced in thelowest level.Flat cakes and biscuits must reach the medium level. The upper level may be used to heat or grill.13. MAINTENANCE AND CARELet the installation of your stove, the connection to chimney and the ventilation check by your chimneysweeper.For the cleaning of enamelled surfaces use soap water or not aggressive and not chemically abrasivedetergents.IMPORTANT: It is possible to use exclusively spare parts clearly authorized and offered by LANORDICA. In case of need please apply to your dealer!THE APPLIANCE CAN NOT BE MODIFIED!13.1. CLEANING OF THE FLUEThe correct lighting process, the use of quantities and suitable types of fuels, the correct position ofsecondary air register, the sufficient chimney draught and the presence of combustive air are necessary forthe best running of equipment. One time per year it is advisable to effect a complete cleaning. Thisoperation, to be made only when the stove is cold, should be made by a chimney sweeper who canperform an inspection at the same time.During the cleaning, remove from the stove the ash drawer and the smokes pipe.
