If the Link LED is not lit, thenthe physical network connection is bad. Confirm that you are using a goodnetwork connection. We recommend that you use a serial connection so you can view anydiagnostic information sent out the serial port.Table 8-2. Now when you Telnet tothe UDS, the connection fails.When you Telnet into port 1 on theUDS, you are only assigning atemporary IP address. When youTelnet into port 9999 and do notpress Enter quickly, the UDSreboots, causing it to lose the IPaddress.Telnet back into port 1. Wait for it tofail, then Telnet to port 9999 again.Make sure you press Enter quickly.When you Telnet to port 9999, themessage Press Enter to go into SetupMode displays. However, nothinghappens when you press Enter, oryour connection closes.You did not press Enter quicklyenough. You only have 5 seconds topress Enter before the connectioncloses.Telnet to port 9999 again, but pressEnter as soon as you see themessage Press Enter to go intoSetup Mode.
