RADIO OPERATION• SWITCHING TO RADIO MODEPress MODE button (6) shortly toselect radio mode, the radio modeappears in the display together withthe memory band and frequency.• SELECTING THE FREQUENCYBANDAt radio mode, press BND/LOUbutton (13) shortly to select thedesired band.The band will change in the followingorder:• SELECTING STATIONPress TUNE/TRACK button (16) orTUNE/TRACK button (17) shortlyto activate automatic seek function.Press for several seconds until“MANUAL” appears on the display,the manual tuning mode is selected.If both buttons have not pressed forseveral seconds, they will return toseek tuning mode and “AUTO”appears on the display.• LOCAL/DISTANTPress LOC button (29) to selectbetween local and distant stations.Local setting for reception of strongstation, and a distant setting forreception of weaker stations. Thisfunction is effect during AUTO SEEKoperation.• AUTOMATIC MEMORYSTORING & PROGRAM SCANNING- Automatic Memory StoringPress AMS button (18) for severalseconds, the radio searches fromthe current frequency and checksthe signal strength until one cyclesearch is finished. And then 6strongest stations are stored intothe corresponding preset numberbutton.- Program ScanningPress AMS button (18) shortly toFM1 FM2 FM3 AMOPERATION11scan preset station. When the fieldstrength level is more than thethreshold level of stop level, theradio is holding at that presetnumber for several seconds withreleasing mute, then searchesagain.• STATION STORINGPress any one of the preset buttons(14) (1 to 6) to select a stationwhich had been stored in the memory.Press this button for several seconds(until 2ND beeps come out), currentstation is stored into the numberbutton.• MONO/STEREOPress MON button (30) to select monoor stereo mode. You can sometimesimprove reception of distant stationsby selection mono operation.• SCANPress SCAN button (28) to set thefunction to scan mode, which scanningto higher frequency station withreceivable signal and keep on eachstation for several seconds.
