Clean the water filter and then put it back into the threadedconnection.6. Press the cooling water hose with the hose nozzle back ontothe threaded connection of the supply. Carefully tighten thewater hose using the union nut at the threaded connection.7.6 Decalcification of the cooling water circuitPersonnel: Operating personnel1. Switch off the device and prepare the decalcification processaccordingly. The descaling agent should be fed to the watercooling using a pump or a funnel through thesupply hose. The descaling agent return flowshould be via flow hose of the water cooling into acontainer with sufficient capacity (at least 10litres).LAUDA descaling agent (catalogue number LZB126, 5 kg packaging) is required for decalcifica-tion. Read the safety instructions and the instruc-tions for use on the packaging for handling thechemical.2. Clean the water filter of the device. The water filter is in thesupply of the water cooling.Further information for cleaning the water filter canbe found inÄ Chapter 7.5 ‘Cleaning the waterfilter’ on page 52.3. Fill the supply hose of the water cooling with LAUDA desca-ling agent (pump or funnel). Continuously refill or pump thedescaling agent. Continue this process until the foamingreaction goes down. This is usually the case after approx. 20to 30 minutes.Fig. 26: Removing water filterFig. 27: DecalcificationMaintenanceMicrocool52
