312. Use personal protective equipment. Alwayswear eye protection. Protective equipment suchas dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, orhearing protection used for appropriate conditionswill reduce personal injuries.13. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure theswitch is in the off-position before connectingto power source and/or battery pack, pickingup or carrying the tool. Carrying power toolswith your finger on the switch or energising powertools that have the switch on invites accidents.14. Remove any adjusting key or wrench beforeturning the power tool on. A wrench or a keyleft attached to a rotating part of the power toolmay result in personal injury.15. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing andbalance at all times. This enables better controlof the power tool in unexpected situations.16. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing orjewellery. Keep your hair, clothing, and glovesaway from moving parts. Loose clothes,jewellery or long hair can be caught in movingparts.17. If devices are provided for the connection ofdust extraction and collection facilities,ensure these are connected and properlyused. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.Power tool use and care18. Do not force the power tool. Use the correctpower tool for your application. The correctpower tool will do the job better and safer at therate for which it was designed.19. Do not use the power tool if the switch doesnot turn it on and off. Any power tool thatcannot be controlled with the switch is dangerousand must be repaired.20. Disconnect the plug from the power sourceand/or the battery pack from the power toolbefore making any adjustments, changingaccessories, or storing power tools. Check for misalignmentor binding of moving parts, breakage of partsand any other condition that may affect thepower tool’s operation. If damaged, have thepower tool repaired before use. Manyaccidents are caused by poorly maintained powertools.23. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properlymaintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edgesare less likely to bind and are easier to control.24. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bitsetc. in accordance with these instructions,taking into account the working conditionsand the work to be performed. Use of thepower tool for operations different from thoseintended could result in a hazardous situation.Service25. Have your power tool serviced by a qualifiedrepair person using only identicalreplacement parts. This will ensure that thesafety of the power tool is maintained.26. Watch for vibration orwobbling that could indicate improperlyinstalled bit.10. Be careful of the bit rotating direction and thefeed direction.11. Do not leave the tool running. Operate the toolonly when hand-held.12. Always switch off and wait for the bit to cometo a complete stop before removing the toolfrom workpiece.13. Do not touch the bit immediately afteroperation; it may be extremely hot and couldburn your skin.14. Do not smear the tool base carelessly withthinner, gasoline, oil or the like. They maycause cracks in the tool base. |
