Installing or removing router bitCAUTION :Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged before installing or removingthe bit.Insert the bit a l l the way into the colletcone. Press the shaft lock to keep the shaftstationary and use the wrench to tightenthe collet nut securely. When using smallershank bits, first insert the appropriatecollet sleeve into the collet cone, theninstall the bit as mentioned above.To remove the bit, follow the installationprocedure in reverse.I /TightenCAUTION :Install the bit securely. Always use the wrench provided with the tool. A.loose or over-0 Do not tighten the collet nut without inserting a bit or install small shank bits withouttightened bit can be dangerous.using a collet sleeve. Either can lead to breakage of the collet cone.Adjusting depth of cutPlace the tool on a flat surface. Loosen thelock lever and lower the tool body untilthe bit just touches the flat surface. Pressthe lock lever down to lock the tool body.Now lower the stopper pole until it makescontact with the adjusting hex bolt. Thestopper pole can be moved rapidly by de-pressing the fast-feed button. Raise thestopper pole until the desired depth of cutis obtained. The depth of cut is equal tothe distance between the stopper pole andthe adjusting hex bolt. Stopper pole travelcan be checked with the scale ( 1 mm or 1/16’ per graduation) on the tool body. Minutedepth adjustments can be obtained by turning the stopper pole (1.5 mm or about 1/16’per turn). Now, your predetermined depth of cut can be obtained by loosening the locklever and then lowering the tool body until the stopper pole makes contact with theadjusting hex bolt.5
