14OPERATION METHOD1. Adjusting Shoulder strapAdjust the shoulder strap to a length that is comfortable to work whilecarrying the blower.Adjust as shown in the figure.2. Adjusting the control leverMove the control handle along the swivel pipe to the most comfortableposition.3. Blower operationWhile operating the blower, adjust the throttle bar so that the wind force isappropriate for the work location and conditions.Low speed: Dried leaves and grassHigh speed: Gravel and dirtThe cruise control level allows the operator to maintain a constant engineRPM without operating the trigger lever.Lifting the cruise control lever increases engine RPM.Lowering the cruise control lever decreases RPM.Adjusting engine RPM when the cruise control lever is being used:When increasing RPM: Pull the trigger lever to increase engine RPM. Engine RPM returns to itsoriginal setting when the trigger lever is released. Increasing the RPM in this manner also increases the cruise controlsetting. The cruise control lever lifts simultaneously as the trigger lever ispulled, and the new cruise control setting will be maintained at thehigher RPM.When reducing engine RPM: Lower the cruise control lever to the low-speed position.TRANSPORTING AND STORING THE BLOWERPlease maintain the blower in an upright position whenever transporting orstoring. (Refer to Figure at right.)Transporting or storing in a position that is not upright may cause oil to spillinside the blower engine. This may result in oil leaks and white smoke fromburning oil, and the air cleaner may become dirty with oil.DANGER• When transporting the blower, be sure to stop the engine.Cruise control lever High-speedLow-speedTo tighten straps To loosen straps
