7Recycling the BatteryThe only way to dispose of a Makita battery is to recycleit. The law prohibits any other method of disposal.To recycle the battery:1. Remove the battery from the tool.2. a) Take the battery to your nearest Makita Fac-tory Service Centerorb) Take the battery to your nearest MakitaAuthorized Service Center or Distributor thathas been designated as a Makita batteryrecycling location.Call your nearest Makita Service Center or Distributor todetermine the location that provides Makita battery recy-cling. The use of any other accessories orattachments might present a risk of injury to per-sons. Shouldany trouble develop during this one year period, returnthe COMPLETE tool, freight prepaid, to one of Makita’sFactory or Authorized Service Centers.
