Battery selection switchUp to two battery cartridges can be installed in thebattery box, although the machine uses one batterycartridge for operation. Before operating the machine,select the battery cartridge used for operation by press-ing the number on the battery selection switch.NOTICE: If only one battery cartridge is installed inthe battery box, be sure to select the battery box inwhich the battery cartridge is installed.Indicating the remaining batterycapacity on the battery boxCAUTION: Before checking the remainingbattery capacities or switching the battery car-tridge, be sure to stop the machine.► Fig.28: 1. When youhear the short beep sound, pull the brake leverand lock the brake, and then switch the batterycartridge to a charged one or charge the batterycartridge. When the remaining battery capacity runsout, the machine suddenly stops automatically andthis may cause an injury.NOTE: If you continue to pull the switch trigger evenif you hear the short beep sound, the machine stopsautomatically. After the machine stops automatically,the beep sound continues and the support brake(electric brake) is enabled. To cancel the beep soundand release the support brake, pull the brake leverand release the switch trigger. Do not push themachine forcibly without releasing the support brake.After releasing the support brake, you can tell whichbattery protection system is working by checking thebattery indicator status.► Fig.29: 1. Overload protectionCAUTION: If the beep sound is emitted whileoperating on slopes or the machine stops auto-matically on slopes, move the machine to a safeplace, lock the brake, and then switch the batterycartridge to a charged one or charge the batterycartridge.If the load is large, and the beep sound is emit-ted while operating on slopes or the machinestops automatically on slopes, do not move themachine forcibly. Lock the brake, pay attention tosafety and switch the battery cartridge to a chargedone, and then move the machine to a safe place.Reduce the load before operating the machine again.NOTE: You can check the remaining battery capacityeven if the lock key is not inserted.Indicating the remaining battery capacityOnly for battery cartridges with the indicator► Fig.30: 1.
