3 ENGLISH5. When operating a power tool outdoors, use anextension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cordsuitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.6. If operating a power tool in a damp location isunavoidable, use a ground fault circuit inter-rupter (GFCI) protected supply. Use of a GFCIreduces the risk of electric shock.7. Power tools can produce electromagnetic fields(EMF) that are not harmful to the user. However,users of pacemakers and other similar medicaldevices should contact the maker of their device and/or doctor for advice before operating this power tool.Personal Safety1. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and usecommon sense when operating a power tool.Do not use a power tool while you are tired orunder the influence of drugs, alcohol or med-ication. A moment of inattention while operatingpower tools may result in serious personal injury.2. Use personal protective equipment. Alwayswear eye protection. Protective equipment suchas dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, orhearing protection used for appropriate conditionswill reduce personal injuries.3. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure theswitch is in the off-position before connectingto power source and/or battery pack, pickingup or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools withyour finger on the switch or energising power toolsthat have the switch on invites accidents.4. Remove any adjusting key or wrench beforeturning the power tool on. A wrench or a key leftattached to a rotating part of the power tool mayresult in personal injury.5. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing andbalance at all times. This enables better controlof the power tool in unexpected situations.6. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing orjewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and glovesaway from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewel-lery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.7. If devices are provided for the connection ofdust extraction and collection facilities, ensurethese are connected and properly used. Use ofdust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.8. Do not let familiarity gained from frequent useof tools allow you to become complacent andignore tool safety principles. A careless action cancause severe injury within a fraction of a second.9. Always wear protective goggles to protect youreyes from injury when using power tools.Thegoggles must comply with ANSI Z87.1 in the USA.It is an employer's responsibility to enforcethe use of appropriate safety protective equip-ments by the tool operators and by other per-sons in the immediate working area.Power tool use and care1. Do not force the power tool. Use the correctpower tool for your application. The correctpower tool will do the job better and safer at therate for which it was designed.2. Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turnit on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlledwith the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.3. Disconnect the plug from the power sourceand/or remove the battery pack, if detachable,from the power tool before making any adjust-ments, changing accessories, or storing powertools. Such preventive safety measures reducethe risk of starting the power tool accidentally.4. Store idle power tools out of the reach of children anddo not allow persons unfamiliar with the power toolor these instructions to operate the power tool. Powertools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.5. Maintain power tools and accessories. Check formisalignment or binding of moving parts, break-age of parts and any other condition that mayaffect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, havethe power tool repaired before use. Many accidentsare caused by poorly maintained power tools.6. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properlymaintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edgesare less likely to bind and are easier to control.7. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bitsetc. in accordance with these instructions, tak-ing into account the working conditions andthe work to be performed. Use of the power toolfor operations different from those intended couldresult in a hazardous situation.8. Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, cleanand free from oil and grease. Slippery handles andgrasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling andcontrol of the tool in unexpected situations.9. When using the tool, do not wear cloth workgloves which may be entangled. The entangle-ment of cloth work gloves in the moving parts mayresult in personal injury.Battery tool use and care1. Recharge only with the charger specified bythe manufacturer. A charger that is suitable forone type of battery pack may create a risk of firewhen used with another battery pack.2. Use power tools only with specifically desig-nated battery packs. Use of any other batterypacks may create a risk of injury and fire.3. When battery pack is not in use, keep it awayfrom other metal objects, like paper clips,coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metalobjects, that can make a connection from oneterminal to another. Shorting the battery termi-nals together may cause burns or a fire.4. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejectedfrom the battery; avoid contact. If contact acci-dentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contactseyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejectedfrom the battery may cause irritation or burns.5. Do not use a battery pack or tool that is dam-aged or modified. Damaged or modified batteriesmay exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting infire, explosion or risk of injury.6. Do not expose a battery pack or tool to fire orexcessive temperature. Exposure to fire or tem-perature above 130 °C may cause explosion.7. Follow all charging instructions and do notcharge the battery pack or tool outside thetemperature range specified in the instruc-tions. Charging improperly or at temperaturesoutside the specified range may damage thebattery and increase the risk of fire.
