7For Model DJR145, DJR185Fig.8123 4014048To install the saw blade, loosen the bolt by hex wrench.When installing a recipro saw blade, press the bolt withthe hex wrench to open the slot during inserting theblade.123 4014047Fig.9You can use both jig saw blades (B type) and reciprosaw blades according to your work. Insert the saw bladestraight into the blade clamp and tighten it by hexwrench. Pull the saw blade lightly to make sure that thesaw blade does not fall off during operation.To remove the saw blade, follow the installationprocedure in reverse.Hex wrench storageFig.10When not in use, store the hex wrench as shown in thefigure to keep it from being lost.OPERATIONCAUTION:• Always press the shoe firmly against theworkpiece during operation. If the shoe is heldaway from the workpiece during operation, strongvibration and/or twisting will be produced, causingthe blade to snap dangerously.• Always wear gloves to protect your hands from hotflying chips when cutting metal.• Be sure to always wear suitable eye protectionwhich conforms with current national standards.• Always use a suitable coolant (cutting oil) whencutting metal. Failure to do so will causepremature blade wear.Fig.11Press the shoe firmly against the workpiece. Do notallow the tool to bounce. Bring the saw blade into lightcontact with the workpiece. First, make a pilot grooveusing a slower speed.
