19Fig.46Carefully square the side of the blade withthe top surface of the turn base using thetriangular rule, try-square, etc. by turning the0° bevel angle adjusting bolt clockwise. Thentighten the lever securely.Fig.47Make sure that the pointer on the arm point to0° on the bevel scale on the arm holder. If itdoes not point to 0°, loosen the screw whichsecures the pointer and adjust the pointer sothat it will point to 0°.(2) 45° bevel angleFig.48Adjust the 45° bevel angle only afterperforming 0° bevel angle adjustment. Toadjust left 45° bevel angle, loosen the leverand tilt the blade to the left fully. Make surethat the pointer on the arm points to 45° onthe bevel scale on the arm holder. If thepointer does not point to 45°, turn the 45°bevel angle adjusting bolt (upper bolt) on theright side of the arm until the pointer points to45°.Replacing carbon brushesFig.49Remove and check the carbon brushes regularly.Replace when they wear down to the limit mark. Keepthe carbon brushes clean and free to slip in the holders.Both carbon brushes should be replaced at the sametime. Use only identical carbon brushes.Fig.50Use a screwdriver to remove the brush holder caps.Take out the worn carbon brushes, insert the new onesand secure the brush holder caps.After use• After use, wipe off chips and dust adhering to thetool with a cloth or the like. Keep the blade guardclean according to the directions in the previouslycovered section titled "Blade guard".
