21STOP91011Checking the ignition sparkInsert the combination wrench (9) between the hood andcylinder only as shown.CAUTION!Do not insert the combination tool into the spark plughole, but make contact only with the cylinder (otherwiseyou may damage the engine).Using insulated pliers, hold the spark plug (10) (unscrewedbut with the plug cap on) against the combination tool (awayfrom the spark plug hole!).Switch the combination switch (11) to ”I”.Pull the starter cable hard.If the function is correct, an ignition spark must be visible nearthe electrodes.CAUTION: Use only BOSCH WSR 6F spark plug, CHAMPIONRCJ-6Y or NGK BPMR 7A.E1312 FReplacing the suction headThe felt filter (13) of the suction head can become clogged. It isrecommended to replace the suction head once every threemonths in order to ensure unimpeded fuel flow to the carburetor.Unscrew the fuel tank cap (12) and pull the loss-preventionstopper out.Empty fuel tank.To remove the suction head for replacement, pull it out throughthe tank filler neck using a piece of wire bent at one end toform a hook.CAUTION: Do not allow fuel to come into contact with skin!Replacing the starter cableUnscrew four screws (14). Remove the fan housing (15).Unscrew two screws (16) and carefully pull apart the air guide(17) and fan housing (15). Important: Do this in the order A - B- C - D as shown on the diagram.Remove all pieces of cable (18).1518141716ABCDGThread in a new cable (dia. 4.0 mm, length 1000 mm) as shownin the Figure (don´t forget disc 19), and knot the ends as shown.Pull knot (20) into the cable pulley (21).IMPORTANT: The knot or cable end must not protrude fromthe cable drum surface!Pull knot (22) into the cable grip (23).H2223192120STOP
