Do not turnthe dial clockwise forcibly.Electronic functionThe tool is equipped with the electronic functions foreasy operation.• Constant speed controlThe speed control function provides the constantrotation speed regardless of load conditions.• Soft startThe soft-start function minimizes start-up shock,and makes the tool start smoothly.Adjusting cutting depthTo adjust the cutting depth, open the lock lever, thenmove the tool base up or down by turning the adjustingscrew. Fixing leverASSEMBLYCAUTION: Always be sure that the tool isswitched off and the battery cartridge is removedbefore carrying out any work on the tool.Installing or removing trimmer bitNOTICE: Do not tighten the collet nut withoutinserting the bit. The collet cone may break.Insert the trimmer bit all the way into the collet cone. Pressthe shaft lock and tighten the collet nut with the wrench ortighten the collet nut securely with the two wrenches. Toremove the bit, follow the installation procedure in reverse.► Fig.17: 1. Collet nutNOTE: The shaft lock may not return to the originalposition when you tighten the collet nut at the instal-lation of the trimmer bit. Open the lock lever of the trimmer base, theninsert the tool into the trimmer base aligning the grooveon the tool with the protrusion on the trimmer base.► Fig.20: 1. Lock lever2.
