5 ENGLISHSAFETY WARNINGSGeneral power tool safety warningsWARNING: Read all safety warnings andall instructions. Failure to follow the warnings andinstructions may result in electric shock, fire and/orserious injury.Save all warnings and instruc-tions for future reference.The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to yourmains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated(cordless) power tool.Cordless stapler safety warnings1. Always assume that the tool contains fasten-ers. Careless handling of the stapler can result inunexpected firing of fasteners and personal injury.2. Do not point the tool towards yourself or any-one nearby. Unexpected triggering will dischargethe fastener causing an injury.3. Do not actuate the tool unless the tool isplaced firmly against the workpiece. If the toolis not in contact with the workpiece, the fastenermay be deflected away from your target.4. Disconnect the tool from the power sourcewhen the fastener jams in the tool. Whileremoving a jammed fastener, the stapler may beaccidentally activated if it is plugged in.5. Use caution while removing a jammed fas-tener. The mechanism may be under compressionand the fastener may be forcefully dischargedwhile attempting to free a jammed condition.6. Do not use this stapler for fastening electricalcables. It is not designed for electric cable installationand may damage the insulation of electric cablesthereby causing electric shock or fire hazards.7. Always wear safety goggles or safety glasseswith side shield, and a full face shield whenneeded.8. Keep hands and feet away from the ejectionport area.9. Always remove the battery cartridge beforeloading the fasteners, adjustment, inspection,maintenance or after operation is over.10. Make sure no one is nearby before operation.Never attempt to drive fasteners from both theinside and outside of wall at the same time.Fasteners may rip through and/or fly off, pre-senting a grave danger.11. Watch your footing and maintain your balancewith the tool. Make sure there is no one belowwhen working in high locations.12. Check walls, ceilings, floors, roofing andthe like carefully to avoid possible electricalshock, gas leakage, explosions, etc. caused bystapling into live wires, conduits or gas pipes.13. Use only fasteners specified in this manual.The use of any other fasteners may causemalfunction of the tool.14. Do not tamper with the tool or attempt to use itfor other than driving fasteners.15. Do not operate the tool without fasteners. Itshortens the service life of the tool.16. Stop driving operations immediately if younotice something wrong or out of the ordinarywith the tool.17. Never fasten into any materials which mayallow the fastener to puncture and fly throughas a projectile.18. Never actuate the switch trigger and contactelement until you are prepared to fasten work-pieces. Never defeat its purpose by securingthe contact element back or by depressing itby hand.19. Never tamper with the contact element. Before using battery cartridge, read all instruc-tions and cautionary markings on (1) batterycharger, (2) battery, and (3) product usingbattery.2. Do not disassemble battery cartridge.3. If operating time has become excessivelyshorter, stop operating immediately. It mayresult in a risk of overheating, possible burnsand even an explosion.4. If electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinse themout with clear water and seek medical atten-tion right away. It may result in loss of youreyesight.5. Do not short the battery cartridge:(1) Do not touch the terminals with any con-ductive material.(2) Avoid storing battery cartridge in a con-tainer with other metal objects such asnails, coins, etc.(3) Do not expose battery cartridge to wateror rain.A battery short can cause a large currentflow, overheating, possible burns and even abreakdown.6. Do not store the tool and battery cartridge inlocations where the temperature may reach orexceed 50 °C (122 °F).7. Do not incinerate the battery cartridge even ifit is severely damaged or is completely wornout. The battery cartridge can explode in a fire.8. Be careful not to drop or strike battery.9. Do not use a damaged battery. |
