Wipe away any spilt chain oil carefully.NOTE: If it is difficult to remove the oil tank cap, insertthe tip of slotted screwdriver into the slot of the oiltank cap, and then remove the oil tank cap by turningit counterclockwise.2 1Fig.22► 1. Start it and wait until lubrication on saw chain isadequate.Fig.23Working with the toolCAUTION: Keep all parts of the body awayfrom the saw chain when the tool is operating.CAUTION: Hold the tool firmly with bothhands when the tool is operating.CAUTION: Do not overreach. Keep properfooting and balance at all times.NOTICE: Never toss or drop the tool.NOTICE: Do not cover the vents of the tool.Before starting the tool, bring the root of guide bar andthe support part of tool body in contact with the branchto be cut as shown in the figure. While contacting thebranch with the tool and guide bar, start the tool andsaw the branch by moving the tool down along thebranch.Fig.24CAUTION: Before the cutting operation, makesure that the branch to be cut is in contact withthe root of guide bar and the support part of toolbody. Otherwise, the tool may be pulled toward thetip of guide bar and the guide bar may wobble, andmay result in an injury.Carrying toolBefore carrying the tool, always remove the batterycartridge from the tool.
