Make sure to it the hole of cut-offwheel to the ring and return the safety guard.For LW1401Raise the safety guard. Turn the hex bolt counterclock-wise using a socket wrench while holding down theshaft lock. Then remove the hex bolt, outer lange andwheel.12Ź 1. Shaft lock 2. Make sure to it the hole of cut-off wheel to thering and return the safety guard.OPERATIONCAUTION: Proper handle pressure duringcutting and maximum cutting eficiency canbe determined by the amount of sparks that isproduced while cutting. Do not force the cutby applying excessive pressure on the handle.Reduced cutting eficiency, premature wheel wear, aswell as, possible damage to the tool, cut-off wheel orworkpiece may result.Hold the handle irmly. Switch on the tool and wait untilthe wheel attains full speed before lowering gentlyinto the cut. This could cause the workpiece to beejected or cause a dangerous breakage of the wheel.While the thread holder is lifted, the vise plate can bemoved in and out quickly. To grip a workpiece, push thehandle until the vise plate contacts the workpiece thenreturn the thread holder. Turn the handle clockwise untilthe workpiece is securely retained.1 2 3Ź 1. Handle 2. Thread holder 3. Vise plateWhen the cut-off wheel has worn down considerably,place a spacer block behind the workpiece as shownin the igure. You can more eficiently utilize the wornwheel by using the mid point on the periphery of thewheel to cut the workpiece. Use a sturdy and non-lam -mable material for a spacer block.
