9Operation• Avoid operating on wet grass.Take particular attention whenworking on wet grass to preventslipping.• Hold the handle firmly with bothhands during operation. Keepthe handle dry and clean toprevent accidents.• Do not run. Only walk duringoperation.• Pay particular attention to yourfootings when working on aslope.• Do not work straight up or downon a slope. Always work alonghorizontal line.• Be especially careful whenturning the machine on a slope.• Never work on a steep slope.• Pay extreme attention whenreversing or pulling the machinetowards you.• Do not overreach. Keep properfooting and balance at all times.This enables better control ofthe machine in unexpectedsituations.• Always remember:– Keep your feet away fromthe cutting tools.– Do not tilt the machine.– Do not stand in front of thedischarge opening.– Never let your hands or otherpart of the body or clothingplace near moving parts.• Do not force the machine. It doesthe job better and safer at therate for which it was designed.Frequent overload may causemotor damage or fire.• Switch off the motor and unplug:– Whenever leaving themachine unattended– Before clearing a blockageor any fault– Before checking, cleaning orworking on the machine– Before making anyadjustments, changingaccessories or storing– When the machine hits aforeign object.
