Consultthe owner's manual for recommended acces-sories. The use of improper accessories maycause risk of injury to persons.18. NEVER STAND ON TOOL. Serious injury couldoccur if the tool is tipped or if the cutting toolis unintentionally contacted.19. CHECK DAMAGED PARTS. Before further useof the tool, a guard or other part that is dam-aged should be carefully checked to determinethat it will operate properly and perform itsintended function - check for alignment ofmoving parts, binding of moving parts, break-age of parts, mounting, and any other condi-tions that may affect its operation. A guard orother part that is damaged should be properlyrepaired or replaced.20. DIRECTION OF FEED. Feed work into a bladeor cutter against the direction of rotation of theblade or cutter only.21. NEVER LEAVE TOOL RUNNING UNATTENDED.TURN POWER OFF. Do not leave tool until itcomes to a complete stop.22. REPLACEMENT PARTS. When servicing, useonly identical replacement parts.Battery tool use and care1. Ensure the switch is in the off position beforeinserting battery cartridge. Inserting the batterycartridge into power tools that have the switch oninvites accidents.2. Recharge only with the charger specified bythe manufacturer. A charger that is suitable forone type of battery cartridge may create a risk offire when used with another battery cartridge.3. Use power tools only with specifically desig-nated battery cartridges. Use of any other bat-tery cartridges may create a risk of injury and fire.4. When battery cartridge is not in use, keep itaway from other metal objects like paper clips,coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metalobjects that can make a connection from oneterminal to another. Shorting the battery termi-nals together may cause burns or a fire.5. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejectedfrom the battery; avoid contact. If contact acci-dentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid con-tacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquidejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.6. Disconnect battery cartridge from tool or placethe switch in the locked or off position beforemaking any adjustments, changing accessories,or storing the tool. Such preventive safety mea-sures reduce the risk of starting the tool accidentally.7. Have your power tool serviced by a qualifiedrepair person using only identical replacementparts. This will ensure that the safety of the powertool is maintained.8. Do not use a battery pack or tool that is dam-aged or modified. Damaged or modified batteriesmay exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting infire, explosion or risk of injury.9. Do not expose a battery pack or tool to fire orexcessive temperature. Exposure to fire or tem-perature above 130 °C may cause explosion.10. Follow all charging instructions and do notcharge the battery pack or tool outside thetemperature range specified in the instruc-tions. Charging improperly or at temperaturesoutside the specified range may damage thebattery and increase the risk of fire.Specific safety rulesDO NOT let comfort or familiarity with product(gained from repeated use) replace strict adherenceto portable cut-off safety rules. If you use this toolunsafely or incorrectly, you can suffer serious per-sonal injury.1. Wear hearing protection during extendedperiod of operation.2. Use only wheels having a maximum operat-ing speed at least as high as "No Load RPM"marked on the tool’s nameplate. Use onlyfiberglass-reinforced cut-off wheels.3. Check the cut-off wheel carefully for cracks ordamage before operation. Replace cracked ordamaged wheel immediately. Run the tool (withguard) at no load for about a minute, holdingtool away from others. If wheel is flawed, it willlikely separate during this test.4. Secure the cut-off wheel carefully.5. Use only flanges specified for this tool.6. Be careful not to damage the spindle, flanges(especially the installing surface) or bolt.Damage to these parts could result in wheelbreakage.7. Do not operate the tool without guards inplace. Check the wheel guard for proper clos-ing before each use. Do not operate the tool ifwheel guard does not move freely and closeinstantly. Never clamp or tie the wheel guardinto the open position.8. Hold the handle firmly.9. Keep hands away from rotating parts.10. Make sure the cut-off wheel is not contactingthe workpiece before the switch is turned on.11. Before using the tool on an actual workpiece,let it run for a while. Watch for vibration orwobbling that could indicate poor installationor a poorly balanced wheel.12. Watch out for flying sparks when operating.They can cause injury or ignite combustiblematerials.13. Remove material or debris from the areathat might be ignited by sparks. Be sure thatothers are not in the path of the sparks. Keepa proper, charged fire extinguisher closelyavailable.14. Use the cutting edge of the cut-off wheel only.Never use side surface.15. Do not attempt to keep the trigger in the ONposition.16. If the cut-off wheel stops during operation,makes an odd noise or begins to vibrate,switch off the tool immediately. |
